  • Nottingham Open Night

    Tuesday, 9th September 2014
A night to meet up with past members, current and new, for a chat, a cuppa, cake and a biscuit.
  • We asked our members their thoughts on the group...

The group has been somewhere where the time is totally devoted to my stammer. My life is busy so having some time set aside for something that underpins my ability to communicate is essential. I gain support and inspiration from the people who attend and it has really helped me over the years I have been going. Matt

For years this group has helped many people who stammer with important issues and topics at various meetings. We have been open about our speech, improved confidence and self-esteem, made friends and raised awareness of stammering to the general public. Long may all of this continue!! David

I find the self help group a great encouragement, where I can relax and talk to people who know exactly what it is like to have a stammer. The group is very friendly and we can share our good and bad experiences. There is also a varied programme of events with the self help group to help utilise a number of different speech techniques to help improve our speech. Daniel
